Corona x Parley for the Oceans

F*ck Plastic
It’s rare that you actually get to do good in our industry. For the most part we’re here to sell products, and even when something more purposeful comes along, it often transpires to be no more than a worthy brand statement which only pays lip service to a cause. This one was different – a brand making a long term financial commitment, with a measurable and ambitious target: to protect 100 islands from plastic pollution.

To make this objective a reality, Corona partnered with Parley for the Oceans over a four year period. The partnership initially launched with our film celebrating a love for the ocean and a commitment to protecting it, featuring ambassadors Chris Hemsworth, Diego Luna, Ramon Navarro, and Nashla Boagaert.

Clean ups were organised across the world and 100 island target was reached ahead schedule. Importantly, the commitment is continuing with clean ups planned on an ongoing basis.

We created a series of ‘fact films’ to raise awareness of the plastic problem.

The clean up events were also used as a chance to host talks and workshops, to help ensure educate local communities on how to reduce the flow of plastic into the oceans.
